Frequently Asked questions about Bathrooms
How Long Will My Bathroom Remodel Take?
Generally, a bathroom remodel can take from 1-4+ weeks.
Just how long the bathroom remodeling process takes depends on a number of factors. The first of these would be project magnitude. The more work there is to be done, the longer it will take to complete.
In addition, complexity has a way of increasing the duration of home improvements. Whether the project is inherently complex, or if it becomes so thanks to mid-project discoveries, it will take longer to finish up than a simpler one. That’s why it’s beneficial to have someone with a lot of experience in the field to help you simplify your next bathroom remodel.

How Can I Prepare My Home For a Bathroom Remodel?
It’s good practice to prepare your home for improvement projects, but it’s not always clear how you can do this. That may be why this question has become one of the most common FAQs.
There are a number of ways in which you can prepare your home for a bathroom remodel. The first of these would be to clear the room of all loose items – towels, soap dispensers, shower curtains, etc.
Even if remodeling work won’t directly affect the areas in which those items belong, taking them out of the room will protect them from dust and potential damage. In addition, it will declutter the remodeling work environment.
It’s a good idea to prepare the space around your bathroom in a similar way. Decluttering the hallway leading up to your bathroom, for example, will make bringing materials and debris in (or out!).
In addition, make sure that what cannot be decluttered is protected. For example, if there is a piece of furniture inside or very near the bathroom, you can cover it with a cloth or plastic sheet to prevent dust from collecting on its surface. If there is something you're unsure of, please feel free to ask!

*An important note about preparing the space: Your contractor should plan on some site prep to protect your space. Make sure it is Crystal clear what you will be responsible for and what your contractor will be responsible for.

How Often Should I Clean My Bathroom?
Depending on the size of your bathroom and how many people use it, the amount of thorough cleanings can vary. For example, a smaller bathroom that is used by one person is probably going to need less cleaning than a large bathroom that is being used by multiple people.
For a small bathroom, give it a thorough cleaning at least once a week, and for a large bathroom, give it a thorough cleaning one to two times a week. Every time you use your bathroom, you should always give it a quick cleaning just to make sure you keep everything in order at all times. You don't have to do anything crazy, just wipe down the fixtures you use and just make sure you are keeping up with cleanliness.

Opening a window or turning on your vent fan during / after showers is a great way to limit how much you have to clean and limits the growth of mold and mildew.
