How Long does it take to build a deck?
You can typically expect a deck to be built in 1-4 weeks.
Of course, this is dependent on the size and complexity of your project. A small porch could be built in a day, where as an elegant multilevel deck could take much longer.
What is Composite Decking?
Commonly referred to as "Trex", Composite decking is Lumber that is made from a mixture of wood fiber and recycled plastic. New technology has removed wood Fiber from the picture and uses a combination of stable, durable minerals and plastic. It is a popular option for decking as it has a long lifespan and is low maintenance - and often comes with a 25-50 year warranty!

How Do I Maintain My Deck?
If you have wood decking, it will need to be sealed or stained regularly to protect them from water and to preserve their appearance. Thompson's Water Seal is a great option. Depending on your location, and how much snow or rain you get, or how close you are to a body of water, you can expect your deck to need treatment every 1-3 years. Preventing snow or wet leaves from sitting on the deck for prolonged times will ensure your deck has a longer lifespan.
If you have a composite or PVC deck, it will require much less maintenance. All that is needed is to hose it down with water and give it a good scrub as it gets dirty.
What is a Pergola
A Pergola is an outdoor structure consisting of columns that support a roofing grid of ridges and rafters. Sometimes the roof of a pergola is closed, and sometimes it is left open.
Pergolas create great shaded space where you can have a sitting area, an outdoor fireplace, a garden, or even an outdoor kitchen!
