Frequently Asked Questions about Kitchen Remodels

How much Will My Kitchen Remodel Cost?

Our clients in the past have invested $150k in their kitchens before. Others have spent $30k.

This is a tough question to answer in the context of a FAQ page. Every home is unique and every family uses their Kitchen differently. There are several variables that contribute to the cost of a kitchen such as countertop materials, appliances, and if the layout is staying the same or being changed drastically.

To figure out where your Kitchen lands, you need to identify what details are most important to you, and how you intend to use the space the most.

What Are the Typical Stages of a Kitchen Remodel?

  • Demolition: We’ll start by getting rid of all the things that won’t be in your new space. This includes removing old cabinetry, walls, sinks, and appliances.

  • Utilities. having the walls and cabinets out of the way makes the perfect time for your plumber and electrician to make any changes they need.

  • Drywall / paint: Our professional team will install new drywall and then we’ll paint the new drywall and existing walls the exact color of your choice.

  • Flooring: We’ll add all the new flooring and baseboards.

  • Cabinetry: All new cabinetry will be delivered and installed.

  • Countertops: The countertops will be installed on top of the new cabinetry.

  • Backsplash: If you have chosen to add a backsplash, we will install it under the cabinets and around your sink and stove.

  • Appliances: Lastly, all the new appliances will be installed, and any final hardware will be added to cabinetry.

Is it worth it to reface your cabinets?

While it is cheaper to reface cabinets instead of replacing them, the savings are usually not worth it. We know it’s tempting to cut costs in any way you can, but when you look at the facts of refacing, you’ll see that the best choice is usually to just replace them. That’s because the most expensive part of any cabinet is the door, generally accounting for about 70% of the total cost of the cabinet. If you’re already going to be purchasing the most expensive part, you may as well spend the additional amount to replace the entire cabinet. This will ensure better quality and precise matching of the doors and frame.

Will a Kitchen Remodel Add Value to My Home?

Absolutely! Out of all home improvement projects, new kitchens add some of the most value to your home - because the kitchen is the heart of the home and is one of the most important rooms potential buyers look at. You can expect to see a70% or 80% ROI for kitchen renovations.
